WPC Chairman Congratulates Finalist Apprentice/Trainee of the Year – Indigenous

WPC Group was delighted with Gayleen Majid who was a finalist in the 2010 New South Wales Group Training Awards held in Sydney this week. The Award was sponsored by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations. Gayleen is currently completing a Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical technology (Heavy Vehicle Road Transport).

Gayleen did a pre apprenticeship on Thursday Island and worked in a local workshop part time. Gayleen said “ being a female working in a male oriented environment has helped me strive to be the best I can be in my chosen profession” WPC Chairman, Mr Fred Maddern OBE said that “Gayleen was a hard working, dedicated individual who will excel in her chosen career”. Congratulation to Gayleen from all the team at WPC on a job well done!
